Follow These Tips To Fully Enjoy Biscotti.

INSTALLATION

For the best experience, install Biscotti between your cable or satellite box and your TV (using two HDMI cables). Install the first HDMI cable between Biscotti's HDMI OUT and the HDMI input on your TV.  Install the second HDMI cable between the HDMI output on your cable or satellite box and Biscotti's HDMI IN. This will allow you to use Biscotti while watching TV - without changing inputs on your TV!  You can even receive calls while watching TV. How cool is that?

Experience true high-definition video calls. Be sure your Wi-Fi Internet upload speed is at least 1 Mbps. Biscotti still works all the way down to speeds of 256 Kbps, but may not be high-definition. You can use your computer to run a speed test at www.speedtest.net. If you need a faster connection, contact your Internet service provider. 

Make sure your Wi-Fi router isn't too far away from Biscotti. 4 bars of Wi-Fi signal strength will help ensure both parties have the best experience. Try different router locations to see what works best in your home. 

SETUP

Invite your Biscotti and Google contacts. Activate the Biscotti Bar by tapping the yellow button on the remote control. Select Contacts (second icon from top) then tap "Add new contact" (or simply select "Add contacts" at the end of the setup process). To invite someone who is using a Biscotti on their TV, select Biscotti and enter their Biscotti ID. To invite someone using a computer, iPhone, iPad or Android device that supports Google voice and video chat, select Google and enter their Gmail address (ending in @gmail.com) or Google Apps compatible email address.  You can add additional contacts at any time from the Contact list. 

Share your smile with family and friends. Take a picture of yourself for your Biscotti ID so your family and friends can see you on their contact list. 

MAKING AND RECEIVING CALLS

Making calls is easy. Just activate the Biscotti Bar by tapping the yellow button on the remote control, scroll down to a the Contacts icon (second from top) and tap the square select button. Navigate to the contact and hit select again to call.

Receiving calls is even easier. When a call comes in you will see a window in the upper right of the screen. To answer, choose "Accept" from the on screen menu.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

If you want Biscotti to automatically answer calls from select contacts, go to Contacts from the Biscotti Bar, highlight that user, and press right on the remote, and then select the auto-answer feature. When they call, Biscotti will automatically connect them. This can be a great security feature if you set Biscotti to auto-answer when you call yourself so you can check on your living room from your laptop anytime you want. Or, use this feature to easily take calls from your favorite Contacts.

If your TV is off or using another input when you get a call, a light will blink on your Biscotti. Simply turn on your TV and answer the call. You can also choose to have your TV automatically turn on when you receive a call (compatible TVs only). With this featured enabled, if a call comes in and you don’t answer, Biscotti will turn your TV back off once it stops ringing.
